Putting a deposit down on one could help.
That is what I did. Put $100 down and two weeks later, got a phone call that it was here.

I'll ask about that next time I call. I would have expected they'd have suggested I do that if they regularly did so. My impression from phone conversations was that I just had to be the lucky one at the right time!

The wife test fired a borrowed one a couple of weeks ago and decided that is what she wanted for a home defense gun. We started shopping and asking around only to discover that we might as well be hunting unicorns. Well*** we are patient and the search will go on. You never know, we might find a unicorn.
Only $20-25 in gas but that is a long boring drive. I'd still consider it if I had some free time this week!Freedom Firearms in Ft Wayne had three G19 models come in last week. I don't know if they are still on the wall...$395.
I just got an email from targetsportsusa that they had some for $399 in .40 cal. The 9mm is $495 which is overpriced.
Got to take mine out this past weekend, love it. It's a lot of fun to shoot and pretty accurate right out of the box. Fed mostly brass cased speer and federal but it also ran cheap steel cased Tula ammo no problem.
Four Guns in Lafayette had 3+ in there last week. Not sure what the price was, I already have 2 Gen1s that I am more than happy with. The wife test fired a borrowed one a couple of weeks ago and decided that is what she wanted for a home defense gun.
