With the improvements in 9mm ammo and thinking about easier concealment, I've moved from a Glock 27 to a 9mm M&P Shield as my EDC. The M&P was my wife's but she recently bought a G43 so we'll both be shooting 9mm. I still have a G23 but won't be shooting it a lot. With that in mind, I'm going to load the several hundred primed .40 cases I have then get out of reloading .40. When that is completed, I'll have some .40 brass and bullets for sale or trade. I'm undecided on the Dillon .40 conversion set and the dies.

In the meantime, do you 9mm reloaders have any recipes you can share?

    Thanks.

I was talking to my brother about that the other day. I decided a couple years ago to consolidate to 9mm and 45.

He is now thinking about getting out of the 40 game and is sitting on a pile of reloading components. We talked about the best way to get rid of it, sell it as a giant lot, or break it up into smaller lots. He has like 7K 180gr FMJs, and a bunch of brass.

I'm loading 115 grain plated projectiles over titegroup I think 4.2 grains? I'll have to check! I've used hs6 and a few others but i'm a fan of the titegroup, i've heard good things about other powders too though of course.

This past weekend I loaded a batch of plated 147 xtreme bullets using 4.5 grains of Power Pistol. I was right around the published velocity in my suprressed SBR and a bit lower in a Glock 19.

124 grain coated LRN over 4.2 grains HP-38. (Last batch was 4.1 grains and shot good but may not cycle all guns)
124 grain Montana gold HP over 5.2 grains of Power Pistol
    147 grain LFP over 3.4 grains HP-38

What type of Dillon press do you have? If it is a square deal I would be interested in the 40 dies.

124gr coated bayou bullet with 4.1 grains of win 231 and
124gr extreme plated bullet with 4.1 grains of titegroup have worked well for me as my main plinking loads. I think both are around 1.135 for col.

    Thanks for the info guys.
    To answer the questions:
OudoorDad. The only pistol powder I have right now is Auto Comp but I'll probably use most or all of that loading the .40.
Romad. I don't need any 9mm brass right now but if you need .40 brass we might be able to do a trade.
VERT. My Dillon is a 550B.

Yep my load is 124 grain bayou bullet at 1.135" OAL. 4.1-4.2 grains of Win231/HP-38. Good general purpose plinking load.
