I've heard of people having them Ceracoted.

But I don't worry about mine. If you carry it in a holster every day it's going to eventually be worn anyway.

    It's a Glock!

Unless you're going to retire it and make it your Safe [STRIKE]Queen[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]King[/STRIKE] Ugly Prince.
    What's the point? :dunno:

It's just my carry piece and its a gen 3 glock 30 I would carry a 9 but shooting twice is just silly. If it's not going to rust or pit then I'm not worried just curious. I used to carry a glock 19 with the exo finish so I was wondering if the cerekote looked good.

AllenM does cerakote work. He just cerakoted a Glock 19 that he did some machine work on the slide. Look in the diamond collision sub forum or PM AllenM and see what it will cost you.

It will NOT rust, its cosmetic only.

Even with the metal treatment (previously referred to as Tenifer, etc), a Glock slide can rust. It is highly resistant to rust, but it can still rust. And yes, I realize that the "finish" on a Glock slide is not the metal treatment.

Meh, for the purposes of this tread...the rubbing off of the black finish will not result in rust with daily carry. Anything in possible though.
