We are not friends with Cuba, therefore a responsible US citizen shouldn't go there. Same with Rodman going to North Korea. Really? Surely there's a law about fratrenizing with the guy threatening to nuke us.

In a free society you'd be free to go anywhere you wished, unless there was an active war going on and it was patently unsafe. I have no problem with this guy and his wife going to Cuba. Any of us could do it, simply by catching a plane from a country that goes to Cuba. Isolationism is not the way to defeat communism. Dollars are. And jeans. And music. And TV. That's what brought down the USSR. If we started trading with Cuba and had American dollars flowing into that country it would change in a matter of a few years. Carrying out this stupid embargo does nothing but entrench the powers that be there.

Funny, that POS Jane Fonda was not tried for treason, fraternization, or even giving aid to the enemy. Treasonous behavior is overlooked by the .gov unless it goes against the socialist / communist agenda.

It's called freedom. Unless he gave AID to Un...he broke no laws. I have no beef with Cuba, we can travel freely to Communist China...hell, they are our friends... but not Cuba? It's silly. A "responsible" US citizen is kinda broad don't you think? As long as Rodman doesn't give US secrets (he's not smart enough to figure any out) to NK he can visit all he wants...WHO CARES. He's a washed up celebrity.

I suppose the Cuba embargo is silly seeing as the Soviets are gone, but we are technically still at a state of war with North Korea. Obviously there hasn't been blood shed for decades, but why it's perfectly acceptable to go to a country that openly wants to kill us is beyond me.
