Well it was cold out today and normal sunday's activities canceled, called my dad and went over to his place to reload.
    Got 1000 38 special and 200 445 supermag loaded.
guess thats a good days work.

Can't imagine what could get done with a multi-stage press vs our single stage.

I loaded 200 rounds of 9 mm this weekend on my new progressive. Felt much much quicker than my turret...your pile on a single stage for the day is impressive!

Impressive on a single stage. We just re-configured our loading room and bench over the holidays.

1000 rnds in a day- very nice.

Did you have a separate tool for priming and was this all new brass, or brass that had already been resized and deprimed?

Even with one of you priming cases and the other charging powder and seating bullets, that's a LOT of ammo for one day, on a single-stage press. :)

I feel like an underachiever, now...I only loaded 300 9mm and an assortment of other stuff, but that was over parts of several days.

A friend of mine just emptied a whole 8 lb keg of powder reloading in one day. He used a progressive press and was loading 12 gauge, but that still works out to about 3100 shells that day.

1200 pistol rounds on a single stage sounds like an all day job, I hope you at least had time for a bacon sandwich! Schedule yourself a trip to the range, you have earned it!

Curious about your 445 loads. I too load for the 445 and alway like to compare loads. 200 seems like a lot. I only use the loads for hunting. I do hornandy 265 gr over 31 gr on H110, starline cases and mag pistol primers. How about you???

If I remember right we loaded 270g cast bullets. 32.6grains of 1680. Starline cases and large rifle primers.
I have around a 1000 rounds loaded for my 445. When I purchased the Dan Wesson it came with a ton of loaded ammo.

Thanks for the info. Don't know why but I never even considered you were loading for a pistol. I have NEF Handi Rifle which started life as a 44 mag and I reamed out to 445. Works great in the rifle platform for deer hunting. Have you ever chrono'd your loads? Chrono is next on my list to get. I'm guessing about 1800fps out of the rifle.

I was expecting a lot of recoil. But I think it has less than my 44 mag. Last time I shot prolly only shot 25ish rounds.
