Purchased a remington 700 youth .243 for $348 out the door...did I get as good a deal as I think?

I bought it at Walmart... I've been looking for a cheap 700 reciever all over the interwebz and the cheapest I've come across is about $550. The salesperson said that it has been sitting on the shelf since 2005. The price back then was $370 bucks but since it has set so long, they reduced the sticker to $325.

    Thoughts?

If it's a REAL Rem 700 action... Then you got a smoking deal.

Especially if all you were after was the action to use in another rifle build!

A shame that the .243 can't be used on whitetails here in IN. That little youth rifle would make a GREAT deer stalker. (yes, It CAN be used on and during depredation permit culling, just not general firearms hunting season)

It came with the owners manual and all the serial numbers and such.....

I hate to purchase a gun from Walmart as I'd rather support a LGS or even an online gun store... but at that price I didn't want to pass it up.

Can't wait to get it out and run a few rounds through it. Leave it to Walmart to be completely out of .243 lol
