As the user name may indicate, your Humble Correspondent spent 27 yrs in federal narcotics ( DEA and it's predecessor agencies ) before retiring many years ago. After a year of hunting and shooting, I got bored, went back for some graduate work, got certified as a high school teacher, and taught in several Indiana high schools. After teaching Biology, Botany, and Anatomy & Physiology for twelve years, I retired again to assist my beloved through her final illness. What else... hmmm... Oh yeah. Prior to drug law enforcement, USMC several years, 3 yrs in a hospital ER, and 2 yrs as a Ranger with the National Park Service, 1966 thru 1968. I carry a handgun virtually all the time, but my passion is rifles with emphasis on single shots and bolt actions, and quality rather than quantity. (Hint: quality is based on accuracy and precision, rather than price) Father of five, grandfather of 13, and now awaiting the immanent arrival of my second great grandchild. I have reached the stage where buying new guns is much less fun than giving them away to grandchildren.
