Had to take a break and relieve some stress. I have to say, the Mossin 44 and 38 kick like a mule with an attitude. The 91-30 is a bit more forgiving, but still packs a punch. Nevertheless, I had a great time and put about 100 rounds down range before I had to say "uncle".

My first 20 rounds at 50 yards, but didn't hit anything at 100 yards. I guess iron sights are no longer my forte.

Good to see ya got the cannons out today! Its not you QUE, the iron sights on the Mosins are kind of lacking in my experiance out to 100 yrds. Expesially if you already have the barrel hot. But they sure are fun to shoot:D. And yes I have a wossy limbsaver on mine to:( but that just means I can shoot more:draw:

What is this "woosey pad?" Is it the normal butt pad on an AR or shotgun or something else out there?

I use those Limbsaver pads from Wal-mart they are in the Winchester packaging. They are rubber slip-on butt pad. Work very well, I have them for my Mosin, Mauser, an My .300 Win Mag. Just make range time a little less brutal, lol

I can honestly say I was expected some NSFW pics when I saw the title of this thread refering to takeing out triplets for some fun. But a good day at the range is almost as much fun, almost.

I know what you mean about iron sites there, Que. Most old military sites were made for 18-20 year old eyes, so as we get older, it makes it that much harder to get a good sight picture.

    BTW, nice family shot.
