Good idea, Its a great gun and with time will just gain value. It is collectable so just keep it clean and nice. If you want something to shoot I would go buy a remington 870 or mossburg 500. Keep this one as an hierloom.

I was really close to buying one the other day..and it had $600 on it. I've had quit a few Auto-5s over the year, have never paid less than $400 for one and the $400 one was pretty beat up.

Surface rust on the older firearms doesn't necessarily reflect operation and reliability. Some of the older gas operated shot guns run a little dirty.

Browning has always demanded higher prices, used or new.

Just oil it up. If you work the rust off with a oily rag, you will loose the blueing
