I wish the party could actually get a candidate over the finish line.

Voters get candidates "over" the finish line.

Mostly out of ignorance or the foolish desire to "win."
What exactly does victory bring you? The lesser of two evils.
    And what of your conscience?
Presumably soothed by a hollow victory purchased at the expense of a legacy you don't deserve.

Imagine a world where one's principles carried more weight than a candidates party affiliation. Or perhaps even their chance of winning.

This seems an odd thing to say “Ouch” about to me. He won’t endorse her and she won’t endorse him. Most of us despise him so isn’t that a good thing?
You don't see the "ouch" factor of a sitting Governor not endorsing his Lt Govenor? As for her not endorsing Holcomb, well, he's not on a ballot. She has nothing to endorse. I do see a certain ouch for Couch, in this scenario. If you're suggesting his endorsement might hurt her more than help, because Eric isn't liked by most Hoosiers, you might be right.

She has done nothing to run on the record of the Holcomb administration, which I despise, and he certainly would not endorse her for it. She didn’t like many things he did. That is my point. Instead of an “ouch” I give her credit for that.

I'll wait until I see whom the Libertarian candidate is before I decide if any candidate is one for which I would vote.

It won't be Brad Chambers.. He is a Indiana Economic Development Corp S#itbag.. He's running to pick up were Holcomb leaves off after his term ends by working for the IEDC and not us the tax payers. Plus will continue using our tax dollars to buy more farmland with our taxes dollars for the Corporations.. His running is strictly to work for the IEDC..

Once again the playing field is full of unknowns. Maybe we know the names but we never ever know what they will do once they get in. They know the system and use it for their own advancement and power. Once these people get in, it's very hard to get them out. A marine rhino comes to mind.

That POV immensely helps the socialist / Democrat candidates by taking votes away from the Republican candidate.

All political races are the lesser of 2 evils and always will be. All politicians are accomplished liars who are in it for their own glory / gain. This is true even of any 3rd party candidates you may choose to endorse (and who have no chance ever of actually being elected.)

But there is a wide gulf between a "reasonably good" or even "slightly bad" Republican candidate and the "absolutely horrific" communist freedom-haters on the Democrat side. Even though the Republican candidates are far from perfect, it's an each choice every time! Voting 3rd party will help usher in the commie Dem candidate instead.
