    Congratulations on achieving this milestone! And commemorating it with a quality purchase is a fantastic idea. If you guys are willing to shop a bit (surf gunbroker), you may be able to grab Les Baer TRS or Premier II. They work well for carry and competition.

    Ask for a S&W Model 29 with a 6" barrel or, if you are wild and crazy, a S&W Model 25-3 in .45 Colt. They would make great additions to any hand gun collection.

    Go to Indiana gun club they have a lot of high end 1911 to look at in that price range,have fun looking
