People are already raiding dupmsters here. But my college-age kids "dive" to reduce waste and get free food. They know the best times and places. The stuff that is thrown away here is just phenomenal. Perfectly good food, often not even expired yet, still packaged, sometimes still frozen. We have a good portion of our freezer taken up with interesting and sometimes exotic food and basics that our kids dived for. But that's just up their alley - stick it to the man, do something a little dangerous, keep it out of the waste stream, and get free stuff. What's not to like?

The end result of socialism. I lived en Espana for a couple months while studying abroad. Great country full of history and culture. In general the people are laid back and very friendly. I spent many hours discussing politics and economics with my host parents. They were happy and proud of the socialistic ways of their governments and people. Although they were understanding of our government and the principles in which it was founded, they disagreed with our lavish lifestyles. This saddens me to see. I hope things improve for them.

This is one reason I tell people never keep all you food in one place and never keep more than a months worth in your home.

My cousin has been doing this for years...he found 2 big boxes of meat at a krogers, just as he was sticking it in his truck a guy game out and said that is mine...my cousin said well then let's take it inside and ask the manager...the guy turned around and walked back inside the store.

I'm saddened by how I've heard of some fellow gun owners responding to this kind of situation.

In a few conversations with others that have high-paying, professional jobs and would be considered wealthy by American standards, they have basically said their survival strategy is to take by force from others. They then turn around and condemn the poor that are often put in a similar situation on a smaller scale for resorting to thievery.

Not cool, folks, and don't think some of your fellow gun owners won't turn into bullying aggressors when they get hungry.
