I knew I was in good company on INGO but now I feel truly blessed. What good company. Thank you all for your service.

First off: In memory of my Grandfather Col. Dr. Alfred Blythe Scales (AB). A field surgeon in the Philippines in WW II. My grandpa was the only Hoosier to serve on active duty papers in WW I, WW II and Korea.

I was a USAF Crew Chief on F-4 B's & C's at Bentwaters RAF in Suffolk, UK 1974-1978 for my whole tour. Spent most of it in the "Victor" pad area babysitting F-4's uploaded with nukes as a first response crew. Also had a secondary AFSC in Security Police in case SHTF and the area had to be defended.

I probably know you, I was a drill in 1/329 and now getting ready to de-mob with 2/330.

I have been with 1/329 in Bloomington since early 2009. Picture of me in my Avatar. I wear a 3rd Ranger BN combat patch. Only one that wears that around here.

Damn. I can't believe that was 41 years ago. I was inside the wire. God bless those who were on the outside.
