I'm going to have my Glock slide refinished in one of these, but can't decide between the two. $75 for hard chrome, $80 for NIB-X, so price isn't a factor. Suggestions?

I like Electroless Nickle Plating. Leaves a flat Nickle color and it resist's wear. Here's the down low from Wikipeida:
Electroless nickel plating is an auto-catalytic reaction used to deposit a coating of nickel on a substrate. Unlike electroplating, it is not necessary to pass an electric current through the solution to form a deposit. This plating technique is to prevent corrosion and wear. EN techniques can also be used to manufacture composite coatings by suspending powder in the bath.
Electroless nickel plating has several advantages versus electroplating. Free from flux-density and power supply issues, it provides an even deposit regardless of workpiece geometry, and with the proper pre-plate catalyst, can deposit on non-conductive surfaces.
Check with Platers in your area.

Yes I have. It looks really good. I really like the NIB-X look. It is not quite perfect silver/gray, it has just a touch of a bronze type color to it. It looks very natural on the gun, it looks really good. I will try to get a pic up tommorrow.

NP3 and NP3 Plus are great, but they are in a different price range than Hard Chrome or NiB-X.

    NP3 slide only: $120
    NP3+ slide only: $160
    Hard Chrome slide only: $75
    NiB-X slide only: $80

I wanted a hard finish that produced a great duo-tone look without breaking the bank, so I think I found what I was looking for. :yesway:
