Indiana: Harley-Davidson of Bloomington Stands Up for Concealed Carry
    Permit Holders Against the Herald-Times!

In an effort to show its support for the Second Amendment,
Harley-Davidson of Bloomington stepped up to the Herald-Times in
disagreement with its new searchable database of concealed carry permit
    holders.

In a press release issued December 10, the company stated that
“Harley-Davidson of Bloomington believes in freedom and is a strong
supporter of Second Amendment rights. Many of our staff members are gun
owners and/or permit holders. We believe the decision of the
Herald-Times, a valued business partner, to publish a searchable
database of permit holders in the state of Indiana by street, is an
    unnecessary and dangerous practice.”

NRA-ILA sincerely thanks Harley-Davidson of Bloomington for its strong
support of our right to keep and bear arms. Indiana gun owners
appreciate the company standing up against the Bloomington
Herald-Times’ misguided publishing of a database of law-abiding
    right-to-carry permit holders.

Please contact Harley Davidson of Bloomington at info@indianaharley.com
to thank them for their efforts to protect the Second Amendment!

How is it legal/able for the press to get a hold of that information and print it.

Regardless it's good to see people standing up for their rights.

Indiana: Harley-Davidson of Bloomington Stands Up for Concealed Carry Permit Holders Against the Herald-Times!

Thanks for posting this, HarleyIndys. I'll be presumptuous and thank the entire Harley Davidson organization on behalf of the membership here.

How is it legal/able for the press to get a hold of that information and print it.

Jmiller- Unfortunately, it is currently legal for *anyone* to get this info. The entire Herald-Times fiasco is well documented here.

    Pretty righteous and rare.

Some (most) businessmen are rarely vocal about anything controversial. For good reason - if it doesn't help the business, then it could only hurt business.

Most would rather sit back silent and not take any stand.

I'm not a Harley fan, but I might be now.

I'd like to see someone post the home address and phone number of those responsible for publishing this info, starting with the Editor and Publisher of the Bloomington Herald. Be sure and let the citizens know these peoples views on guns and whether or not their houses are "gun free zones"! I'm tired of playing nice with the Left, they'll never be happy until they have their boot against your neck!
