    Velcro Belts

I have been considering buying a belt from this company and am considering a velcro belt. I have never had good luck with belts as they either are to tight or not tight enough for my pants to stay up even without a gun.

Look well made. However, velcro is velcro and will fail if used enough. Just a thought. Not saying DON'T BUY, just buy knowing that they will not last as long as a belt with a buckle. For the price, it's worth a try.

My biggest worry is knowing the velcro is the weakest link and how it will react to the twisting put on by drawing a weapon. I think I will break down and try it I am tired of my dress belt keeping me from carrying.

Like 99% of people that shoot competitively (IDPA/USPSA/IPSC/etc) use velcro belts. Those belts see far more draws than any regular carry belt ever will. Food for thought.

If you want a recommendation on a good leather gun belt I'd recommend The Belt Man.

I like a good old buckle myself, if for no other reason than it can be used as a weapon if needed.

Well...if you're carrying a plastic gun why not go with the space technology belt? :dunno:

I have to agree though that the Velcro will eventually become the weak link in the belt cinch. Even so...if well made may last for years. YMMV.

    I never knew that.

The Daltech Bio-Belt mentioned in the reviews above is made in Indiana and very good. It is the best belt I have ever owned. I use a velcro inner belt (Safariland) for the handgun matches because it enables me to string lots of magazines on the outer belt. For any other application, I like the Bio-Belt.

I can strongly recommend Bullbelt, for their materials and craftsmanship. Not familiar with the Velcro though. 4 years ago their plain belts were $40 at the gun show.
