I have been fighting the urge to pick up a 1911 in 38 super just to reload for it. I bought dies for a 38 S&W to reload for my uncle, and apparently these are the same dies that work for a 38 super. I have no interest in the 38 smith, but the super I can see being a little bit of fun to play with.

Probably a lot of fun to play with, but since it is not a very popular round, you will have trouble finding, and most likely have to pay through the nose for empty brass,

I have bought dies before I have bought the rifle. For example I owned .270 dies for a year before I found a rifle I wanted. I also bought 6.5 Jap sporter knowing I would have to reload for it. I also have a set of .250 Savage dies and a set of .257 Roberts dies, but no rifles to go with them yet.

Haven't gotten in to reloading yet. Where in the Indy area is the best place to get equipment and learn more about the process?

Its not that popular, but ammo is still available, and last I checked, starline still produces it, so brass isnt really an issue...
