Heads Up: Mosin M44 Gander 86th

just offering a heads up. I was up there last night (sat@1730) and they have a mosin nagant M44, it is being sold 'as is; missing front sight' is what the tag says. if is not numbers matching and has light colored furniture,

86th street gander mountain, $99 bucks. i would have snagged it, but i blew my gun budget last month.

If the wood is light coloured it could be a Polish M44. Was there an oval circle with an 11 in it on the reciever? If so you should have bought it.

That sounds rediculously cheap for an M44 if it was just missing the front site. If thats the case shame you couldnt have snaged it.

It's gone now. I bought it this afternoon. Could not believe it was still there. It is a 1945 Izhevsk. I've already sourced the rplacement sight for $13. Thanks for the heads up 99zhuggerz99.
