My brother owns a Ruger 10/22 Target Tactical. It is BORINGLY accurate at 100 yards.

You can't go wrong with either a Savage Mark II or a Ruger 10/22.

I can tell you from experience, women love both of those guns. And both you and her can have a ton of fun with either.:rockwoot:

Im gonna go this weekend an see what the local shops might have in stock. May have to go with the savage. The Bolt gun might be a better idea, i would keep the GF from shooting to fast, an myself included. Would be good practice, an cheap also

If you're stuck on a semi-auto, I have a ruger 10/22 that I commonly shoot out to 150 yards, occasionally farther. It started like at a standard carbine, but has a few mods now :) I get groups just under an inch at 100 yards with Lapua Center X.

That being said, I much prefer my Savage Mark II BV. BSA Sweet 22 scope, and shoot SK standard plus, and I get groups under 1/2" out to 150 yards. Under 1" at 300 yards.
