I am a True Republican, in that I believe in the fact that this nation was Not founded as a democracy, it was a federal republic. What is the difference you might ask, in a democracy the government is sovereign, in a republic the individual is sovereign. I believe the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States are sacred documents that when understood correctly institute the greatest form of personal liberty ever known of this planet. However, recently (the past one hundred years) we have allowed our government to move us away from those principles. That is the biggest problem facing our nation today.
