78 Ford F-150 ranger lariat

Dude wants a cash offer, I have seen these listed on craigslist from $1000-$7000.

Owner says no known issues, less than normal rust.

I may go see it tomorrow.

Barring any obvious issues with it when you look at it, I'd start at $2500 and see what he says. I like my 2012 Ram but the simplicity of those old F150 pickups is mighty attractive. If it weren't for the price of fuel I'd have been looking for one of those rather than what I bought.

Start at $2500 like phylodog suggested...but I'd expect to go higher. Quick search on CL in my area and im seeing a '79 in MUCH worse shape and he's asking $2500

Take a magnet with you to check body panels for bondo. Also check them floor boards close, if they are covered in heavy undercoating be afraid. As for price if its clean no major rust start at $3000 and see what he/she says.
