Ok, it is after yoga and I am cooking dinner at home. Had time to look up those pinpoints cites for you guys.

Here is Dr. Ezell's definition of double action:

"[D]ouble-action, a revolver that can be operated as either single-action or self-cocking according to need." Edward C. Ezell, HANDGUNS OF THE WORLD 24 (1981).

Dr. Ezell was a genius as to firearms but I readily understand that his definition has become the minority position given the flood of advertising and common use at the range or in the gun rags.
