I have an American Derringer Model 4 in 45lc/410 both barrels. Most of these were 45lc/410 in the lower barrel and 45 70 in the upper.
I talked to American Derringer today and they said that some were ordered like mine with both 45lc/410 in upper and lower barrel. That the frame is the same and it still has the flat sides like the 45lc/410 and 45 70 combo.
For 400 dollars they can put the 45 70 and 45lc/410 combo barrel on it.
He's my question, can I just have a gunsmith machine the upper barrel for 45 70 and save me from sending it back and maybe a little money too?
Here is a link to the gun.
