    My Python

This is the Python I inherited from my father. He bought her brand new back in '81. Since it was my father's there's noway anyone could talk me in to selling her. She's my nightstand gun.

Had one years ago, massaged by the Colt Custom Gun Shop. Closest thing I had to a 'safe queen'. Carried it for a while. But the cylinder rotation was opposite of the S&W's I regularly carried, and in a pinch that 'could' have been a problem. So, sold it off to a buddy who preferred Colts, and bought another Smith.

I know they're getting top dollar for 'em today, and they were probably the best looking .357 ever produced, but as a usable handgun, I always ended up sticking to S&W.
