Looking for scope mount suggestions as the title states for a Henry H012G Big Boy 44Mag. I have came across the regular mounts and also the Talley mount/rings. Does anyone have a preference or used the latter?

Link to the Talley mount and rings.

Personally, I'd go with something like this so I could tailor ring height and placement to whatever optic I'm going to put on the rifle...

I believe I have the Henry mount with Leupold 30mm rings to fit the 30mm scope. The Henry mount sits a little high for my tastes, but you can clear the rear iron sight that way.

Now that I've handled it some, I'm not sure if I like the extra weight of the scope. It definitely changes the handling. I recently put a red dot on my Marlin, and it's near about a perfect combo. I have scopes on some of my rimfire leverguns, and like em just fine, but not this Henry for some reason.

Below is the Henry - mine's in .327 Fed Mag. Also the Marlin in .357 with the red dot.
