    The Mysterious Herman Cain

Here's something worth reading about Fed-lackey Herman Cain. It includes excerpts of Cain's own writings backing the TARP bailouts.

We don't need another insider who is so easily swayed to support socialism. No more bailouts. Vote for somebody who has stood by their principles, not a wishy-washy neo-conservative.

But I'm just one of those "free market purists."

Far from Nationalization, Purchase of Bank Stocks Is a Win-Win for Taxpayers
By Herman Cain, October 20, 2008

Wake up people! Owning a part of the major banks in America is not a bad thing. We could make a profit while solving a problem.

The free market purists' objection to this is that it smacks at government control of the banking industry, which is called nationalization. They are correct. It smacks, but it is not nationalization because that would require the government to own at least 51 percent of the entity for an indefinite period of time.

The ownership by the taxpayers is going to be relatively small and nowhere near the amount needed to be called nationalization. So what’s the problem?

Didn't the banks repay most of this with interest? I'm not saying I approved of the deal, but it seems a lot different than the so called stimulous money which is definitely gone forever. I will not sell Cain short until I know a lot more about him.

There are going to be a lot of companies and states that will be begging for a "bailout" in the future and I don't want this clown giving away our money like that.

The Establishment loves him. That tells me a lot.
