My long lost brother!!!
I think I’m going to go that route.I had this M8 hard chromed by Fords last year. Turned out nice.
If you want to purchase for collectibility and future value appreciation, then get a real HK P7. If you want a shooter, the P7Pro looks like a good alternative to the real thing.I am interested but wondering what everyone's take is on buying an expensive custom made P7 for long term value?
That is beautiful!I had this M8 hard chromed by Fords last year. Turned out nice.
It is but modern pistols are also specifically built for a price point/ease of manufacture. The P7 is an engineers wet-dream with little concern for cost. It's not that it's hard to make per-se, it's actually a piece of cake but the time to produce and assemble each is much longer plus the waste material from subtractive manufacturing rather than casting/forging/printing frames. Can't crank them out fast enough nor would there be enough demand for volume to bring the price down. Maybe printing the rough then machining the finish, but then you have another machine to amortize.I assume that there is no way H&K would make a new version of the P7M8? My understanding is that the manufacturing process is more complicated than most current manufactured pistols.
Sent this to ZR Tactical before I put one round through it. Had the MPS sitting around so I used it.Now back to kinda on topic, I need someone to talk me off the MK23 ledge. I finally played with one at the IGC a couple weekends back, it actually was not bad in the hand despite being huge.
I kind want one just because in all honesty , but I would think really hard about having the slide milled as I am not a fan of the tiny sights on that gun.
