I picked up a cetme a year ago or so and it was all sporterized.. with a quad rail and side folder, etc.. looked and functioned like crap. I've picked up a wood furniture set and the buttstock went on fine.....

But I'm having problems with the forestock. If anyone has one of these rifles can I see what is used to attach the forestock to the rifle? The quad rail just had something bolted straight thru and I'd rather not do that. Is it some sort of pin?

There's a clip pin that goes through the forearm, through the sight base, and back through the other side of the forearm. It has an integral clip that will keep it in place unless you're deliberately trying to remove it.

The attachment point, farthest right arrow:

    And the pin:

I replaced the foreguard and used a cotter pin I had sitting around.

    It works.

I have no idea what my forestock came from. Doesn't look like that tho. The right side near the front post has a big 1/2in hole, the opposite side has nothing.

So that brings another question... Wtf did it come from. In the rear of the piece it has three venting holes on the side, on the front it has five. Any ideas?
