Welcome to ingo but DELETE YOUR POST NOW.
ALL OTHER MEMBERS THAT QUOTED HIM REMOVE IT AS WELL.
If the family other dead guy tries to sue we may be providing them "ammo" here.
For the time being do not say anything. Laywer up and be quiet.
Doesn't a cleared shooting preclude civil suits in Indiana?

He also put a post on facebook about this. I won't post the link or go into detail but thousands have seen that post now. You need a lawyer and you need to be quiet.

This is something I would like clarification on as well. How many cases (or how often) does a civil occur after someone is cleared of the criminal?

I know that the lettering of the law says this, but can fathom that folks will try and try to get money off the death of their garbage run-amok children.

How very sad that there are so many people out there that want nothing but money that they will even sue the person that likely saved their life...

I guess this is just another reason I look out for me and mine.

Every time I hear in the media about a low life that die's while in the action of committing a violent crime I get a warm fuzzy feeling in side. Does that make me a bad person? Maybe

I feel no loss for the thug's family. I think of it as a wake up call. In most cased there is a history of crime threw out the family. I look at things differently. I feel for the victim. The "real victim". The person that the crime was committed against. The thugs family's are not victims. Not in any way shape or form. Period! I have had one family member murdered. Very violently so. It was a robbery. The thug is now eligible or parole. He was out on parole when he committed that crime. It's a sad story. Without a happy ending. My opinion may be a little jaded.
