If I remember correctly, the reason the guy in that video did that was due to the fact that it was a non-transferrable post 86 dealer sample that had to be destroyed, so he was having a bit of fun with it before he chopped it up.

That guy posts on either subguns or sturm. That AK is a postie and he did it just for grits and shiggles to show that it would still work even under that extreme condition. At worst he only *slightly* damaged the accuracy potential of a $300 hunk of commie steel.
