True to form she just watches the animals.
Just sits on the back porch watching them eat the flowers.

This law does not pertain to FERAL cats/dogs. It does apply to killing the household PETS that belong to other people.

" (d) As used in this subsection, "domestic animal" means an animal that is not wild. The term is limited to:(1) cattle, calves, horses, mules, swine, sheep, goats, dogs, cats, poultry, ostriches, rhea, and emus; and
    (2) an animal of the bovine, equine, ovine, caprine, porcine, canine, feline, camelid, cervidae, or bison species."

Kind of hard to tell sometimes whether a cat is "wild" or not. The code doesn't use the word "pet".

    Just sayin'.

Michigan used to have in their laws support for hunters shooting feral cats they ran across in the field. Then some teachers got their students to start a letter writing campaign to the state legislators and they got it changed.

There are volunteer groups in almost every county who trap feral cats. Then their fixed and released. Most wild cats live only 6 or 7 years. They are easy prey around here for foxes and coyotes. Also cars.

I'm not saying their not a pest, but there is humane ways to deal with them.
I would put that number much lower. Our barn cats average less than two.

I let the trough get empty so me and the cat got snorted at.
The subsequent improvement in service was apparently appreciated.
