So the House of Reps voted today and killed the bill aimed at defunding PRISM. I've waited to see what the outcome would be and I'm seeing that PRISM will go nowhere. This isn't a Republican vs Democrat, Conservative vs Liberal, thing. Both sides voted for it, in Indiana all but 1 voted against the bill (1 other didn't vote at all).

Some of you aren't the most tech savvy I'm sure, but there are some apps I suggest you guys get.

If you run Android get WhisperSystem's Apps for texting and calls.

I generally don't recommend iOS because of it's closed source nature. Android phones (at least many of them) offer the opportunity to download an open source, 3rd party firmware (Cyanogenmod) which helps to remove all of the bull**** put on there by carriers (including any hidden code). WhisperSystems is going to come out with their apps on the iPhones, but again...iOS and Apple participated and while Google did as well, Android is open source.

That matters a lot to me.
