Letting a crisis go to waste implies that a crisis carries value. It does not.

However, we should learn from all things in life, especially in crisis, because if we do not learn then we are doomed to make the same mistakes over and over.

What we have learned here is that America is a class society. Perhaps we already knew that, but these events have thrown it into stark relief.

I don't quite get the similarity between using a tragedy to push a false premise (e.g. gun control will make things better) and using specific examples, in which the Congresscritter was the main example, of how a government program does exactly the opposite of what it was touted as doing.

It seems the article only points out the inconsistency in the social healthcare monstrosity....I don't see that as manipulating the tragedy. Asking someone to think about consequences and telling them what they are going to do are very different things.
