I was reading over my car insurance statement and wondered how much are all of you paying for car insurance?

What do you drive? What coverages do you have and what does your driving record look like?

My wife and I are both 31, no at fault accidents or tickets, and have two older paid for cars, a 01 Camry and a 98 Corolla. We have...

    $100/300k liability
    $100k property damage
    $5k/20k medical/loss of income
    $100k/300k under/uninsured
    $50k uninsured property damage
$500 deducible for collision and comprehensive
    Towing and rental

$53 / mo. Total for both cars

Two cars, a 96 and a 97 Thunderbird, plus $25,000 renters insurance for $82 a month. I carry Comprehensive on the 96 and full coverage on the 97. Then I have a Personal Lines policy for around $80 a year.

After years with Allstate, the rate was going to be $650 per 6 for 2 vehicles. I had been with them for years and my brother was my agent. Changed this year to Esurance (an Allstate company) and lowered my rate to $328 per 6. Motorcycle went down from $348 per year to $150. All vehicles at the same coverages. My brother is glad he is retiring. Looks like they are under cutting their own agents to eliminate cost.

$1100/yr for both. Had State Farm for years and checked AAA for comparison. They were over $400 cheaper so I switched. Got my first six month renewal and they raised it on me. If that continues I'll have to look around again. I asked State Farm for a better deal since I had the house, umbrella, and two cars with them. They said no.
