image.jpg How much would it cost to fix the timing on a s&w model 10? Also, how much would it cost to fix the problem shown in the picture? Finally, what parts would it take?

It will probably need a new hand (also called pawl). And it will require hand fitting by a competent gunsmith. Possibly a new cylinder stop.

Sometimes you can do a quick fix by peening the ratchet slots on the cylinder. I don't like that fix myself.

It may need additional work or parts replacement but usually replacing and fitting the hand will fix it.

    Redhorse, where are you located?

I don't work on guns for other people. I just tinker with my own. You really should have this done by a competent gunsmith.

I know enough about guns to know what is in my capability and what's best to leave for people with the proper tools and training.

Edit: I just noticed that was directed to Redhorse. Sorry.

Haha guys I'm flattered by the offers but not looking to sell, a friend of mine asked me to post it and see what everyone said.
