$12.95 for a brand new .22lr revolver at Freidman's Army surplus in Nashville, TN.

Followed a month latter by the purchase of a Ruger Standard .22 autopistol for $29.95.

    That was around 1967.

    I also bought a model 36 S&W for $85 new in 1974 and a model 10 for $75 a year latter.

    Yes I am old too!

I bought a Ruger Security Six, 6" barrel in .357 for $325. Ended up trading it (since a 6" barrel doesn't have much use in an apartment) for a Sig p250. Loved the gun, just not what I needed most.

My first handgun was a Taurus model 669, 357 magnum. I got it for $300 from the Castleton, Gander Mountain. If I ever decide to be a cow girl I think it would be a cool gun to open carry.

Maadi Helwan Brigadier. Licensed copies of Beretta M1951 under special Egyptian. $165 purchased wholesale with via brother's FFL 25 years ago.

Worked great as designed... with ball ammo only.

Ruger Mark II government target model 22. Under 250 in the 1980's. sales man told me it was the perfect beginner pistol.

Second a few indy 1500's later was a s&W model 60 about 250. I traded it right before deer season for T/C contender with 357 mag barrel 10 inch. I still have the T/C and the ruger.

I wish I had the smith model 60 also.

I think I paid just under $300 before tax for a new Taurus PT92 at Walmart in Borger TX back in '91. My decision came down to it and a Glock 17 but I just couldn't get past that "wierd" plastic frame. Fast forward to 2012 and I don't own any handguns that don't have a plastic frame. :dunno:
