how does that blind flang hold up to shooting? whats the biggest caliber youve shot it with?

It's hit mostly with 5.56. It deforms pretty good and mushrooms out upon impact. Normally that's a bad thing when shooting steel due to possible ricochet, but we're hitting it 200yds out, so its a non-issue. Its just some scrap we hung up to hit at distance, so we can save the AR500 stuff for closer.

Actually, we did hit another one with a .50 Barrett and it slid right through the flange, and the post behind it, and went into the berm.

I have the AR500 and need to drill new holes in it. Any idea if a basic drill press will be able to pull it off or am I gonna need commercial grade work done?

I used a 1/2-13 carriage bolt thru the front with a nut and washer on the back to hold the 5/16" chain.

that part works great, but hanging them on the round rebar target holders at MCFG is tricky,

Thanks for the info guys. I just bought my first steel from the guys at Bobcat Steel at the 1500 yesterday and I've been trying to think of ways to get a good setup going.
