A pump shotgun with interchangeable barrels is more versatile IMHO. I had an Ultra Slug in 20 and it was VERY finicky on sabot type and shot all others badly (like barely on pie plate at 50 yards badly). A friend of mine inherited a 12 from his dad after he passed and while it was accurate, it was heavy, clunky, no follow up shot for hunting, etc... For what I see people ask for them, you're into Mossberg combo gun territory (and with more aftermarket support, more parts, better choices, etc...).
My Ultra Slug Hunter is very accurate at 100 yards. Don't waste your time, get Lightfield Slugs, like the instructions suggest. I wasted a load of money trying premium brands and got 3' accuracy. The Lightfields work really well.
I've got an Ultra Slug Hunter in 12 gauge with a Leupold 2-7 shotgun scope on it. It shoots several different kinds of slugs into 2 inch groups at 100 yds (from a bench). Who needs a second shot when the first is on the money.

Two years in a row, I've taken two doe in one setting with a very quick second shot using a lever action rifle.
Boom, lever, boom, two doe down, and they didn't go more than 20 feet each.
