'I Didn't Want to Kill Him': Armed Homeowner Describes Harrowing Decision During Home Invasion

When a homeowner in Butler, Pennsylvania, heard the sound of someone breaking into his home, he did what many Americans would do: he grabbed his gun to protect himself and his girlfriend. An intoxicated intruder had broken into his home through his basement and Cox had to use his firearm to stop him.

Well worth read in my opinion.
But two shots in an enclosed space, YIKES. Unless it was a very cluttered basement, I'd imagine the ear ringing was pretty bad.

When I embed a hyperlink I can't tell it's a hyperlink. I always end up checking to see if the embed took by hovering to see if the underline appears.

But in todays “media decides your guilt” I can also see the side of getting this out early. Hard to call him a cold blooded blood thirsty killer if the only words out of his mouth were “I didn’t want to kill him”. Wait… one of “our own” did just that already. Never mind.
