But two shots in an enclosed space, YIKES. Unless it was a very cluttered basement, I'd imagine the ear ringing was pretty bad.

My all-time favorite gun scene in a movie is in Die Hard II where McCain fires off about 20 rounds in an elevator, and then when it stops on his floor he is perfectly normal in talking and hearing.
