We have been over this, time and time again.

    1. It is not that much ammo over the duration of the contract and represents a ceiling in order to reserve capacity.

    2. A branch of the service and multiple LE agencies are within DHS.

    3. The FLETC and CTA eat a lot of ammo per year.

    4. It's government, it's politics, someone's cousin got helped out.

Yeah I get it and I find it funny that people are freaking out over the amount of ammo. Must be going to be used to control the uprising population of disidents!!

    :)

However when I think about 750 million rounds- thats a helluva lot of ammo whatever way you look at it.

Remember, this represents a ceiling. The feds are buying capacity. They may take it all, maybe nothing.

750 million rounds is not that much given:

    1. The number of agents and the amount they shoot over the amount of time. The Air Marshals shoot a whole heck of a bunch.

    2. More than several different calibers involved.

    3. FLETC and CTA shoot a bunch. If you are an instructor there, you shoot OPA all day long. How much would you shoot?:D

Seeing as the DHS consists of the Coast Guard, Border Patrol, FBI, CIA, etc. That is really not much that ammo. Take the tin foil hat off before something gets fried.

When it's time to control the uprising of dissidents, they won't have to rely on contracts; they'll know where a lot already exists, occupy the factories, have as much as they want. Purple :dunno:
