I have 2 accountants. One I sleep with, and she really gives me a hard time when it comes to deductions and what not for my small business. This makes tax time a nightmare around the house. By the way we are married too.
I also have a guy that does fairly well with my rental house business for taxes.
However, I am looking for an accountant that really knows the ins and outs of small farm operations and deductions.
If you don't know this already, you are loosing out if you dont have a good, solid, business specific accountant. Just as you wouldnt want a Real Estate lawyer representing you in a divorce, you dont want a HR Block type accountant represent your businesses.
So, anyone have a great small farm savvy accountant they recommend? Preferably somewhere Indy or west of Indy.
