Buy American? That only means a company's HQ is in the country.

How many of these "American" cars are now built in Mexico?

How many "Japanese" cars are built here?

Who runs/owns the company? A citizen of another nation or a citizen of this one. I think thats all there is left to look at, it's so complicated now.

I read an article a few years ago about this... IIRC: They got a dozen or so of the Camry Hybrids for general admin usage.

Not at all sure about them being hybrid, but for sure they're admin usage. NOT patrol vehicles. I presume it's possible for them to act as a "radio car", but that'd require them to be out and about on duty.

Just saw one downtown. Uniformed officer with red/blue lights on inside the car. Honestly, at first I thought some civilian was messing around until I got up to him and saw he was an officer.

I love how people scream buy American, then ride a Harley. If you ever look at a Harley, you'll see all kinds of words you can't pronounce. They are only final assembled in America by a company that's headquartered here. Most parts are produced oversees and shipped here.

And yes, I have 4 Harleys because that's what I like to ride. Not because I'm a Super American
