Does anyone know the laws behind importing gun parts? I have read several articles from the batfe and customs but need more info.

i would be importing LPKs forward assist it's ejectin port kits. Small things like that.

the only thing I can find that is restricted or banned is slides barrels and receivers.

it also states that items that are readily "installable" for lack of better words, are banned.

None of these parts are readily installable so I am curious.

i have some great prices from a potential supplier and would love to import but can't risk several thousand dollars to get seized and destroyed.

If I Need any type of paper work, what do I need.

    Thanks in advance.

I have no idea. I didn't even sleep CLOSE to a Holiday Inn Express last night.
That said, the first thing that comes to mind is,

What type of firearm are the parts intended for?
Where are said parts coming from (country)?

The answer to those two questions will carry a lot of weight I would imagine.
