I loaded 115 gr. xtremes under 3.6 grains of pb in 9mm (oal 1.140)and would not cycle the slide on a full size 1911. I bumped to 3.8 and cycled fine and was accurate.Does anyone use this powder in 9mm and if so does this sound ok. My manual and Hodgdon website says 4.0 max on jacketed hollow point.

I am not the most seasoned reloader but that load looks fine to me.
I have been using PB lately myself for the first time. In 9mm I am at 4.2gr with the xtreme 115 RN bullets and it is working well.
I had to go above 4.0gr to get my XD to cycle.
My IMR smokeless powder guide revised in 2005 shows 4.8gr PB with 115gr bullet as a max in 9mm Luger.
