Then check out http://www.indyhams.org; this site is run by Mike (N9FEB) and contains lots of good info about amateur radios doings in the Indy area (events to work, nets, hamfests, club metings, etc.).
One thing I know he needs help with is the Mini-Marathon (Saturday, May 4th). If you are a new ham, and would like to see how the events are run, PM me and I'll get you started in the right direction.
