Mix together guns, freedom, silliness, cheeseburgers, stuff for sale, survivalists, the internet, along with middle-aged grumpy Hoosiers and you end up with this playground of unique views and opinions. That is what makes INGO Culture so hard to define. As far as rudeness; I have not noticed it, except in a few cases where new members are hell-bent on spectacular public self destruction.

When I am senselessly offended by silly and meaningless things, I look for my safe place.

Yes, then you open your safe place, take out a gun or two or three, hit the range and have some burning powder therapy, right? :):

Well, it seems like a playground cause it is.
Bunch of random people thrown together.
And sometimes it devolves into what you've described.

    And sometimes we...
Collect money so a member can see his girlfriend.
Buy a coffee machine for someone that lost their kitchen.
    Fix someone's furnace.
Take a nOOb out to teach safety and let them try different guns.
    And more.
Someone here posted a similar thing, with references to threads with pictures. Better than I could say it.

All in all, I'll keep INGO.

It would be better if INGO gave out a "Participation Trophy" after your 10th post. We should be fair to all!

If you really wanted to cause a meltdown, raise the number of "Quality Posts" to 200 before being allowed to buy or sell anything.

There have been a few spectacular blow ups in the last few months, but I don't think that means we've had a whole culture shift to the negative. Just a few bad apples that the mods have had to deal with.

Well to be honest there was a footer which said...op( I interpret that to mean original poster) do you you buy your $500 cigarettes the same place you buy your $500 tampons? To me that is just nasty and in my opinion inappropriate.

Seriously? That is his signature line. It automatically gets posted in EVERY post he makes. It WASN'T directed at you.

    THIS 100%.

OP. I woke up a few weeks ago with 3 PM's asking if I was ok. There was a fatal tanker crash in my neck of the woods and before I even knew anything about it, 3 members were checking in on me. Yeah. They are like that.

We have our problems and our cranky members but we also have THE BEST community that cares about each other.

If you see something that bothers you, either voice your opinion and just don't open that thread again. Stick to other areas that you enjoy reading.

Pink and purple guns have drawn a bunch of pansies into the gun culture.
They have to have somebody acknowledge them within 3 nanoseconds of entering a shop.........can't just walk up to a counter and ask a question.
Social media complaints because the shop sells lowers for 10 bucks more than their garage FFL buddy (who has none in stock).

I sure do miss the old gun shop days.
