Tough muddier is flat there which is nice.

today was max sex push ups. I did 21. Hands at shoulder width and chest to deck. That's not how I usually do them, pretty hard.

then I did a 270# back squat PR, though I didn't get to parallel, more of a power squat. But my knees bent and then straightened, so it counts :):

oh, and now I picture Denny as Mel Gibson in lethal weapon wrestling the bad dude at the end of the first movie

    Friday night weapons night.

Fought tonight with several training weapons, spear, kendo sword, rods, 8 cuts (nothing sharp, all training stuff).

Only one guy got sick in his kendo helmet. I do like the protection, but it can be disconcerting for new guys. I dislike the kendo helmet's interference with my ability to eat snacks.

Just got home from a morning workout 50 wall balls, 50 deadlifts @185lbs, 50 handstand pushups. After doing a total of 48 handstand pushups yesterday, my shoulders are sooooo tired.

I especially hate wall balls and their cousin thrusters. I'm still working toward HSPU so I do wall walks instead. I've only tried them a couple times and still a little nervous about falling on my head if I try regular HSPU.

^^^ Well that was terrible. Ended up doing 1/2 V-ups and 1/2 sit-ups, a lighter KB (35#), and heavier barbell (95# push press & 115# front squat). 38 minutes of pain lol.

Also did a 4-person team marathon row yesterday, it's becoming a post-Thanksgiving tradition. 42195 meters in 2:42 minutes, switching people every 2 minutes. That was fun.

That's a long row. I did 20,000m in about two hours and hurt for about a week

    today was "jerk snatcher"
    20 clean and jerk 95#
    20 power snatch 95#

    took me 5:30

also Max Kipping pull ups, I did 8. Happy with that.

Your turkey day workout looks awful!

also attempting to eat better again. I skipped pizza last night at work and ate the ham, potatoes and beans I had brought. Also had broccoli for lunch yesterday.

    Today we did:

    Teams of three:

    30 calories on the bike
    30 burpees
    30 sit-ups
    30 wall balls

4 rounds, 20 minute cap. We could split up the workout however we wanted to play to each other's strengths. But we had to complete each movement before moving on the the next. Our team was the only one that got all four rounds in before the 20 minute cap.

On the whiteboard, it didn't look so tough. In reality it kicked my butt pretty hard.

Trashed my lower back 4 weeks ago doing dead lifts at 330# for sets of 3. Its been killing me not lifting as much as I like. I have been working out in the weight room at our department instead of the CF box. Compound movements were not happening at all. Lots of strict arms lifting and some isolated leg movements. Today was the first time I woke up and didnt feel any kind of pain.

125# thrusters really are not fun. Only good thing is when the Open comes along in a couple months, 95# will feel nice and light.

Found a 4 person (2M/2F) team CrossFit competition in Richmond, IN on Feb. 4th and at least one team from our gym will be down there. Looking forward to competing again.
