    what was the water temperature?
And are there carry laws to be aware of on waterways?

The water temp was a lil chilly... Two of the guys fell in and were fine, and we all waded through the water in one arae. By the time June 20th gets here the water will feel great.

As for the carry issue, we were actually talking about that the other day. I'm not sure what the law states for waterways. Turkey Run is a state park but I'm not sure what the waterway that passes through it is considered. I highly doubt you would have any problems carrying since the trip is pretty secluded from people. The whole time we were out there we only saw 2 other kayakers. As for the entry and exit points we don’t actually drive through any of the parks. (I started a thread under General Firearms Discussion regarding this issue)

cool catfish, i have a sparky in 9.5 feet. a few years ago i had a sundance in 9.5 feet, but i didnt have the right car to do boats anymore and i sold everything i had.

this trip really got me excited about kayaking again. If anyone misses it, they miss a good time.... and a chance to swim on accident.

as for carry, id rather get in trouble and have it than not. 2 of the three of us the scouted the water carried with no issues.

Bump- 2 weeks out (I added the most recent water depth chart to the "Trip Details") At 1 week out I will be contacting everyone to see who / how many people will be showing up at the starting point. Trip is still weather permitting

    Success!!!

The Float Trip was a blast! The weather was nice, although a little on the warm side. The water was just the right temperature and level. And it wasn’t crowded once so ever! Thanks to all the INGO Members that showed 40CalPunisher, Jsharmon7, and Quiggly and also to the 2 extras that came along also. Definitely looking forward to the next outing! The pics are posted below!

PS… The best part of the trip was the smell of bacon as we floated down the river!

Thanks again for putting this together. Was a great time. Best part was, there was NOONE else on the river... woo woo.... Water was a little high so they had closed the liveries. Had the whole river to ourselves.

Kayaks? Where's the innertubes and foam coolers?? ;)

That's how they float 'round here!!
I agree!!!! Supposed to be spare tires, inner tubes and floating beer coolers....:rockwoot:

Wow good thing I didn't go I would have shown up in cutoffs, flip flops, and sandals carrying an inner tube and a case of beer!!!!

Thats why we decided to call it a "float" trip instead of a kayak trip... it was up to whomever that wanted to go to bring their own floatation device. It just happened we all had kayaks. If I had a floating beer cooler I would have definitely brought it along :yesway:
