My vote for McCain will be an anti-Obama vote also. Unfortunately, that's what we're left with in order to have any hope to preserve the Republic. God help us.

I answered McCain, but I am not really sure if I can actually push myself to cast my vote for McCain, I know it is necessary to help prevent the country from becoming socialist, but I just don't know if I can do it.

    This may be wishful thinking,

Why can't we vote our conscience?

Vote for someone we really believe in?

Sure you could do that if the person you were voting for actually had even a slim chance of winning. Problem is with the 2 party system we have in place, it makes it near impossible. So then you have to decide if your conscience can live with the fact your vote actually helps someone else to get elected. There is no doubt that most of us don't see the candidate they really want in this election. So what I fall back on is "What is my best choice for my country going forward". Unfortunately this time that is John McCain.

My real point was, if enough people voted for who they really believed in, could we actually get a third party in office??:dunno:

I am guilty of voting for lesser of evils in the past and really see no difference in the results. I want to see someone who would really represent us! The people who are not the rich, powerful or influential.

A good friend told me once, voting for the lesser of Devils is still voting for the Devil.:twocents:

I am just afraid that we will soon be voting from the end of our weapon barrels if this trend keeps coming.:patriot::do2:

I have seen while in the Guard alot of riot training and civil defense training going on in the past few years. Most of our mockups are in urban settings!!!(someone must know sumthins coming down):bash:

I just wonder how many soldiers will remember their oaths and be on the right side if this should ever happen??:dunno:

I just hope and pray it never comes to this, The War of Goverment Aggression Part II.

If you can get a third party contender to be a contender, there would be a lot with you. Maybe, after this election, more eyes will be opened.

For this election though, there are only two contenders, one of which is clearly most favorable to gun rights. A vote for anyone else this time is a vote for the enemy.

Agreed. I dont know if a third party could stand a chance especially with money. Things would have to change....but the country is turning more left everyday( i see this everyday being a college student...) and i honestly think something really bad has to happen for this country to open their eyes.

I believe voter turnout will be the largest ever on record. No doubt the dead will rise and vote democrat all over the country. I'm no fan of McCain, but a vote for a third party, although it would be the right thing to do, would help Obama. We ended up with Clinton when Perot drew off conservative vote. We all remember the wave of anti-gun legislation that came from that administration. Obama has said publicly that he intends to try and reinstitute the 1994 assault weapons ban and make it permanent. None of us want that, so we'll have to hold our noses, look the other way and vote for McCain. Then, after that, we can go outside of the polling place and throw up.

Unfortunately, McCain is the only choice for gun owners. I do not want to cast my vote for John "Ted Kennedy" McCain but I'm NOT foolish enough to waste my vote on a 3rd party candidate that will insure an Obama victory. I'm also developing a strong political dislike for yuppies ;)

All you have to do is look at what Obama and his "Chcago buddies" have done to the state of IL and then decide if anyone would want that for the whole country.

(BTW: Obama's phone "groupie" called me early last week and asked me to help them in Indianapolis when he goes there (can't remember when she said). I replied that I would do whatever I could to keep him out of office (giggle) then hung up.

Very Sad, based on this very unscientific poll, Obama will be anointed President based on the vote of the disgruntled :dunno:

    Interesting 'vote' so far.

I assume that the ppl voting in this poll are 99% republicans... mccain will LOSE Indiana if 10% (let alone 22%) of republicans vote third party.

I'll say it right now, unless mcAmensty picks a SOLID conservative (like Paul or Barr) as VP AND promises to kill himself on inaguration night (and has some sort of time delayed cyanide release implanted into himself so he can't back out) I won't vote for him. Which means I'm voting third party.

1 year ago most people on gun boards wanted mcAmnesty impeached for treason on his amnesty plans... now you people are going to vote for him? Have you lost your minds?

Sorry, I have to send a message to the GOP that I will no longer tolerate their RINO liberal nut jobs they keep thrusting upon us.

I'll proudly be "throwing away" my vote in November and hoping mcAmensty loses BIG. I want a total blow out. I want mcAmnesty to be Bob Barr's Ross Perot.

As has said before, both mcAmnesty and obamanation will give voting rights to 16 million+ illegals and their 10 million+ spouses.

This is our last election to elect a conservative. Don't blow it by voting for a liberal... either of them.
